Monique is a local Artist from Chula Vista, San Diego who draws her inspiration from growing up surrounded by art in a border town. Her art style is largely influenced by Huichol art due to familial roots in Nayarit, Mexico.

As a previous student of Psychology and Anthropology, and now Biological sciences, she aims to bring connection through her art. Her art uses overlapping themes between these studies to bring awareness to the importance of mental health, spirituality, indigenous cultures, and sustainability through vibrant colors in paint, print, and other mediums.
